A Skin Peel is when a chemical solution is applied to the skin to encourage exfoliation and eventually cause it to peel off. The treatment is used to regenerate and improve the appearance of the skin, leaving it smoother and less wrinkled.
Who are skin peels suitable for?
Most people are suitable for peels regardless of age or skin type. However pregnancy or breastfeeding are contra-indicators.
Should a patient have any open wounds or have active colds sores they would not be suitable for a peel.
